The tour begins at the ACMI sign on Flinders St (next to the double decker buses). Once everyone has signed in and checked off, your guide will share a brief introduction about the tour and their own art practice before heading off to see the awesome street art of Melbourne.

Our tour guide was amazing, with so much knowledge of the local art scene and the history of Melbourne's artistic community. The tour of the art studio was fantastic getting to see where artists work as well!!

Ben, our guide, is an artist who also does street art. He was obviously knowledgeable and passionate about showing us the street art which really came through to us. He showed us art on the walls we had simply not seen when we wandered through a day or so before. He also knew, or knew of, a lot of the artists and so could tell us interesting things about them and their art. We are not arty and went on this tour because we thought it necessary due to its reputation. I had to confess that I thought the street art was just rubbish put there by youngsters. But Ben changed that. He kept us attentive and excited to learn and appreciate for many hours.

If you come to Melbourne and want to know more about the iconic street art then this is the tour you need to do so that you arr getting first hand knowledge. We had the priviledge of having Ben as our guide and he was fantastic! The stories he was able to share about particular pieces and how the art work changes and why makes the experience special. This is made even more so by a visit to Blender Studio where you see workshops happening, resident artists at work and be able to talk to them about their work. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and can't recommend enough.
Do not miss this fabulous artwork tour. A must see for any visitor.
