Zoo for Australian native animal lover
afong138, 17-07-2022
This zoo is for Australian native animal lovers. The grounds are extremely well kept,
flat & well signposted. It is well suited for the elderly, kids & disabled visitors.
Large enclosures for all animals & all appear healthy & well looked after.
Free car parking is included in the entrance fee. There are a few cafes inside
the zoo from which to choose. Also lots of zoo keeper talks & 1 bird show.
You can book an encounter & pay extra for a close up experience with your favourite animal.
One of the best zoos I've experienced.

Great place to see lots of animals up close. Never had such an experience anywhere else. Parrots and endangered birds flying right over my head. This is a very unique place I won't forget. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Australia.
By yourself or with a family

Great place for all ages.
Just loved everything about this place. Before I even entered there was echidnas and koalas. Looked like lots of places for parents to change kids. Everyone seemed so happy
I married my beautiful wife here

This will be one hell of a review.
I’m going to start off by saying to the people complaining about not seeing animals, some of the animals are nocturnal and therefor spend there day asleep, so go early in the morning or late evening. This place has many special memories from when I was a little. All the way to now taking my own three-year-old son there on regular adventures. The beautiful, big wide open, clean tracks and no matter what you gonna to see some animals. If nothing else is beautiful. This looking at all the native flora do yourself a favour and go there rain, hail, shine, stinking heat, it’s just beautiful place.

Coala started Jawning and then ate leaves and then started making this load noise.. We also saw kangaroos started hopping across the path all at once
Meet & greet with furry and feathered friends!!

Visiting a zoo or sanctuary with kids is always fun and so was this trip to Healesville. Kids had a fun day out with the opportunity to see lots of animals, birds, reptiles etc and enjoyed a lot. It was also fund to be able to get close to some of the animals including Kangaroos (as we bought the ticket for meet and greet).
Good to go!

Good experience and a good place for all to see the animals. The queue at the entrance moves fast. Wished the Koala keeper-attendant uses a microphone headset like the rest - could barely hear him.

Spirits of the sky is a must-watch. Have to queue early if you want to have good seats. On the day I was there, there was at least 1000 people queuing and apparently the capacity of the amphitheater is only 800.

There’s a snack bar but there’s only one person mending the bar.

Wifi is only available at the entrance. Go early (before 10am) if you want a parking spot near the entrance; otherwise u have to park closer to town which is an insane walk down.

I bought tickets via KLOOK app and you still have to queue via the main counter to get a physical ticket.
Hard to down load ticket...
