Overview

Here’s the very best of Victoria’s wildlife experiences. The Penguin Parade is an absolute ‘must’ on every visitor’s itinerary, but this tour gives you so much more.

First stop is Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you can get up close to wallabies on the wallaby walk (you may see little joeys peeking out of their mothers’ pouches). Enjoy a ranger providing unique insights and information during the daily koala presentation.

Then we travel on to the spectacular Cape Woolamai Surf Beach. Located on the southern coast of Phillip Island, this beach is exposed to the ocean swells and the surf here is truly impressive. It's also not uncommon to see dolphins or seals swimming in the waters just off the beach.

We also visit the Nobbies and Australia’s largest Fur Seal colony at Seal Rocks. Finally, the ultimate attraction: hundreds of Little Penguins emerging from the ocean and waddling across the beach to their sand dune burrows.

A delightful day with Terry, stops at all the places I wanted to see. Terry is a great guide and driver.
Plenty of time at each stop. Loved the idea of putting the return to bus time on a white board so that everyone was informed.

As Lucy said, seeing the pengies! Her conservation message was real and amenable. I truly trust and value her message and service to us - she is a real asset to your industry. Thanks Mark

Lots of Fun

We did the Philip Island tour and found it to be excellent. While it was a long time on the bus, the trip to the penguins was broken up into segments and showed you different parts of Melbourne as well as more of the island itself.

St. Kilda was fun, Moonlit Sanctuary was fun, Cowes was a nice stop for dinner and, of course, the penguins.

Luke did an outstanding job as tour guide. He provided enough information, was funny and was also very conscientious about making sure all the people in his bus were having a good time.

As I have been on many big bus tours and the fact that there were only 18 people made it better. Smaller is always better.

I would absolutely do a different tour of theirs were I to return to Melbourne.
Very special experience to see nature at its best, go you little penguins

A great penguin parade and tour guide

I had a great day! My favourite part of the day was of course the penguin parade. I got the penguin plus ticket to get a better view from the start on, when the penguins come out of the sea. But if you don’t want to pay extra, you’ll still get a good view afterwards, along the road they pass by. The tour guide, Sherif was amazing! He is enthusiastic, kind and had lots of interesting knowledge to share with us during the tour. He made sure everyone of us had a good view and saw heaps of penguins. The only stop I wasn’t such a fan of, was the Moonlit Sanctuary because I prefer to visit Australian animals in actual wildlife. But that is just a personal preference.

Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures from the parade itself as we are not allowed to take pictures from the moment it is dark. But watching them so closely, from a reachable distance, was a’ amazing experience!
Waddling day!

This day was great, I really enjoyed seeing a few thing on Phillip island before the penguins such as the seals and GP track. We were unfortunate with the weather in the beginning, so make sure to take a coat, and perhaps a blanket for when you are on the beach despite it being summer!
I think the only thing I wish we changed about the day was getting dinner at the parade centre (there was a cafe onsite instead of going into cowes) so that we could take the extra hour and a bit to look at the information on display and the gift shop.
Otherwise, I can’t wait to go back and see the cute little blue ones waddling.

The penguins were great. It was a very long drive in a crowded outdated van. The entire trip was 12 hours. The van arrived an hour late.
