Highly recommend!

Uncle Den was a fantastic, funny and heartfelt guide for our morning. We all learnt a lot about the history of the park, our land and it's people.
Could we one day see the Botanical Gardens handed back to Aboriginal Management?

Uncle Den was such a good guide, weaving history of the garden, knowledge of the foreign and Indigenous plants and their uses, with profound wisdom and truths about the invasion of Australia and our joint responsibility to work together towards a better future where racism and environmental destruction and exploitation are a thing of the past. Uncle Den took us on an emotional journey, interspersed with good-natured humor and warmth.

I couldn't help but wonder what the botanical gardens would be if they were handed back to Aboriginal management...I hope to see that one day.
Engaging, informative and beautiful

Den took us on a great tour, helping to bridge the gap between European Australians and Indigenous Australians with helpful information about native flora and fauna, as well as beautiful stories from his culture and Country. Learning about the hardships faced by Indigenous Australians was sobering but important. We were also lucky enough to be visited by Lenka who is equally as captivating, intelligent and insightful. Beautiful tour and highly recommended to anyone visiting the Gardens.

Apologies for the awful pun but this truly was a fabulous and original experience! Our guide, Uncle Dan was informative and entertaining in equal measure. His wisdom, warmth and wit while educating us about the beautiful trees and plants and how they are used by the Aboriginal people made this a very special and thought-provoking experience. Thank you x
