Overview

In just one extraordinary day, experience two of Victoria’s top wildlife attractions: the Nobbies and Seal Rocks, with Australia's largest colony of fur seals; and the nightly Penguin Parade, where little penguins pop out of the water and waddle across the beach to their burrows.

At the Nobbies and Seal Rocks, the clifftop boardwalk opens up breathtaking views of Phillip Island’s wild south coast, and there are further lookout points among natural sea bird gardens which have spectacular flowering displays in spring.

Then witness Victoria’s largest colony of little penguins in the nightly Penguin Parade. As dusk falls, hundreds of little penguins splash out of the water on to the beach, making their way to their burrows. They feed at sea, and return to their burrows to mate, care for their young and to moult.

The trip to Phillip Island to see the Penguin Parade was one of the highlights of our trip to Melbourne. We stopped at the Moonlit Sanctuary to see kangaroos, wallabies, wombats etc on the way to Phillip Island and our guide Sherif was wonderful - very knowledgeable about all the animals and great company. The penguins were amazing - so cool to see (and hear!) hundreds of them on their way home after their time at sea!
Great experience

Have watched the parade 4 times over many years.
Never gets old. It is so wonderful to see the little once running to their homes.
Took my grandkids for the first time. Boy did they have fun.

We had an excellent day with Daniel T as our tour guide. We visited Moonlit Sanctuary feeding the kangaroos which was great we then went to the beach and looked for penguins before going to penguin parade. Daniel T was knowledgable, fun and the whole day was very well organised.
