What a great aquarium! Plenty of diverse, interesting fish and other water creatures. A map helps you to navigate through the many display areas and return to spots that you want to see a second time. A favorite of most people was the tunnel through the water where sealife swam around and over you. We spent a couple hours there and could have stayed longer.
Suitable for everyone, family day out

Sealife Melbourne
While staying in Melbourne we made a family trip to the Melbourne Aquarium - Sealife. Our son requested to go & we his parent thought it might be boring, but it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It is not a cheap day out $47 per adult & $32 per child plus adding parking of $46 (2hrs parking) We parked in the recommended car park by Sealife but did not get a discount.
We pre booked & paid for our tickets online with a time slot but still had to queue to get in which was a little annoying with those who were buying tickets.
The highlights were the oceanarium & crock lair.
The displays are suitable for all sizes to toddles & babies in prams with low windows & tunnels as well as teenagers & adults. There are hands in exhibits for the children and interactive screens with information
Good access for prams & wheelchair and plenty of places to stop & have a drink or snack, not sure of prices as we did not partake. Toilets very clean
Overall an enjoyable morning & would recommend on a hot or wet day
Great fun, but needs more info

Great specimens, but could do with more info boards for each area, and could definitely do with more signs for elevators/ stairs etc as it’s a bit of a maze that doesn’t always flow and handling excitable toddlers takes up most capacity necessitating very obvious signage help!
Fun with the fishes

I went at lunchtime on a Wednesday and it wasn’t that bad. There was a school group in front of me who were sometimes a bit noisy but what can you expect from 7 year olds.

It’s been a few years since I was last here and there has been some changes. Also noticed a few more exhibits were closed.

Was interesting to look at the two areas about expanding exhibits and how they are growing the populations of certain animals.

Bit disappointed that people were being rude by hitting and knocking on the glass to try and get animals to react, especially at the crocodile.

Thought the price of admission was a bit steep even when I managed to get a discount for it. Let alone to cost of buying something from the gift shop.

Easily accessible with you’ve got prams or a wheelchair. Just follow the map and you’ll be ok.
